Fargo Police say Brooks homicide case closed

(FARGO, ND) – The Fargo Police Department says they’ve closed a homicide investigation.

The investigation is related to a June shooting in the 2200 block of 6th Avenue South, where a victim was discovered with serious injuries from a gunshot wound to the face. The victim, 24-year-old Zion Brooks, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. On July 2, the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office announced two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, both Class C Felonies against Amire Logan.

“The Zion Brooks homicide case is no longer under investigation. Please contact the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office for additional information,” a statement reads from Fargo Police Department Lieutenant Nate Nieman, who is a member of the Criminal Investigations Division.
