Fargo Police to bring young artists on special trip to headquarters

(FARGO) – The Fargo Police Department has announced the winners of the design contest from earlier this summer.

During the Fargo Police Community Picnic in June, children ages 12 and under were invited to design Fargo Police Department patches, badges and squad cars. The community, through social media, showed their support and voted on their favorite designs. The design winners were: Squad car – Druva, age 12; Badge – Colton, age 10; and Patch – Kinah, age 12.

On Tuesday, the Fargo Police Department will welcome the winners to Fargo Police Department headquarters, where they will be honored for their creativity and given an inside look at the department’s headquarters.

“We’re committed to building strong relationships with the young members of our community,” said Police Chief Dave Zibolski. “The Sticker Coloring Contest and Fargo Police Community Picnic are just two of the many ways we connect with residents of all ages. We’re incredibly proud of all the children who participated – their creativity was very stylish.”

The Fargo Police Department has created the winning designs into stickers that officers will share with the community at future events, and magnets featuring the artwork will appear on department squad cars through September.
