FARGO, ND — Fargo Police and Fire departments say they responded to multiple blazes between July 3rd and 5th.
The City of Fargo says firework possession and use in the city is illegal, with an infraction that carries a total of a $100 fine. For this year’s Independence day holiday, there were a 120 complaints regarding fireworks usage, with 10 fires being credited with being started by fireworks.

July 3, 2024
1001 1st Ave. N. – Trash on a sidewalk intentionally set on fire
3026 Prairie Farms Circle S. – Hot tub fire caused by fireworks

20th Street North\40th Avenue North – Grass fire
2601 15th St. S. – Vehicle fire caused by fireworks
Atlantic Drive South\27th Avenue South – Dumpster fire caused by fireworks
734 19th St. N. – Outside trash fire caused by fireworks
3664 Elm St. N. – Building fire intentionally set in a restroom, caused by fireworks
