(FARGO, ND) – A Fargo man will spend four years in jail for his role in a hit-and-run crash that killed a Fargo woman.
Alex Cruz pled guilty in Cass County District Court to duty in accident involving death or injury – death, a Class B felony, and Driving Under Suspension, a Class B misdemeanor. Cruz fled the scene, and when found later, said he was late for work, looked down to get his phone and struck something. He did not stop.
Robin Krause died as a result of crash.
Cruz will also serve two years of supervised probation.
