Fargo lodging, first responders measures pass, Fargodome measure fails

FARGO, N.D. – Fargo voters pass two of the city’s three ballot measures.

Voters approved adding a one quarter of a percent sales tax for 20 years to fund the city’s police and fire departments. They also passed adding a three percent lodging tax on hotel and motel rooms for 25 years to create a convention center. Voters rejected a proposal to raise the city’s sales tax by one quarter of a percent for 20 years to remodel the Fargodome.
