Fargo Human Rights Commission members speak out

(FARGO) – Members of the Fargo Human Rights Commission are speaking out after the Fargo City Commission voted to end the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Department. Commission member Ritchell Aboah said she’s ‘very frustrated.’ She said that the D-E-I department ‘was a beard for the City.’ She said the intention was not to execute the department for success. Kristin Nelson questioned who will take calls from constituents when the department ends. Sekou Sirleaf, who was voted as Chair of the Commission at the meeting, called the city ‘insincere’ and ‘lazy.’
