Fargo firefighters battle and extinguish 2-alarm apartment fire

(FARGO, ND) — Nobody was hurt when a fire tore through an apartment unit Friday morning in Fargo, causing some damage to the outside of the complex.

Flag Family News was told by city spokeswoman Katie Ettish that crews responded just after 6am to 3315 Broadway North.

The Edgewood Court Apartments are located at that address.

Multiple engine companies and ladder trucks from the Fargo Fire Department arrived and quickly contained the flames to a second floor unit, which is now unlivable.

The residents of that unit were displaced, and the American Red Cross has been notified to help.

Fargo Police, which assisted with traffic control on scene, are said to be assisting in the fire investigation.  The cause is currently unknown.
