(FARGO, ND) — Fargo Cass Public Health has a new interim health officer.
Dr. Jessie Lindemann grew up in Fargo and has been practicing family medicine for more than 10 years.
She was announced as the interim health officer at the Board of Health meeting by Fargo Cass Public Health Director Jenn Faul. She will serve as health officer through April 2025.
Faul says a Request for Qualifications process will be put in place to hire the new Health Officer for Fargo Cass Public Health. The role has changed from the duties that former Fargo Cass Public Health’s Health Officer Tracie Newman held. It will be a role that will be five hours or less per week, Faul said.
Dr. Grant Syverson requested education and advocacy be added to the role of the Health Officer. The vote passed by the board.
