Early voting for Minneapolis State Senate seat begins

MINNEAPOLIS – Early voting in the primary for the the Minnesota Senate District 60 special election in Minneapolis is open.

A special election was called after the death of former Senate Majority Leader. DFL State Senator Kari Dziedzic who died in late-December. The special primary election will be held on Tuesday ahead of the special election on the 25th.

The Minnesota Senate is tied at 33 seats apiece for DFLers and Republicans.

DFL State Senator Nicole Mitchell of Woodbury says she will not vote remotely during her burglary trial in Detroit Lakes.

The Legislative session begins Tuesday.
