Driver faces DUI charges after I-29 crash near Gardner, ND

NEAR GARDNER, N.D. – A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash Saturday near Gardner, North Dakota.

It happened on Interstate 29 around 5:15 PM. Highway Patrol say a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Elizabeth Denault of Grand Forks woman rear-ended a car. The driver of the vehicle that was struck, a 76-year-old Grand Forks woman was taken to the hospital with a minor injury.

Authorities say an additional charge of reckless endangerment with extreme indifference will also be filed against Denault.

The crash remains under investigation.
