WEST FARGO, N.D. – West Fargo City Commissioner Amy Zundel is named West Fargo Park District Executive Director.
She succeeds Barb Erbstoesser who was with the district for more than 30 years.
As a sitting City Commissioner, Zundel says her position with the Park District won’t create a conflict of interest – something she has discussed with both entities. She says she’d like to see more collaboration between the City, the West Fargo Public School District and the Park District.
“What I would really like to see is, I think, everybody maybe just being a lot more on the same page to where we’re going and how we’re going to get there together,” Zundel said.
Zundel says decisions made by one entity affect the other two.
“I think there’s a lot of opportunity to maybe work together and see if there are ways we can find more efficiencies in what we’re doing. And collaborate in more areas to benefit our citizens,” Zundel said.
