BARNES COUNTY, N.D. – Six calves die after a crash on Interstate 94 in Barnes County.
The Highway Patrol says a semi left the road 16 miles west of Valley City around 4:00 Friday morning, went into the ditch and overturned. The driver, 55-year-old Joshua Borden of Menomonie, Wisconsin, was treated at the scene for minor injuries and cited for care required. The semi had 77 cows inside.
The interstate was reduced to one lane for six hours to round up cattle. The North Dakota Stockman’s Association is looking for a missing black calf. If you see it, call Barnes County dispatch at 701-845-8181.
