Bill would provide $55 million to expand medical facilities At UND

BISMARCK, N.D. – North Dakota lawmakers are discussing a proposal to use $55 million to expand medical school facilities at the University of North Dakota.

Backers of the Senate bill say the measure would cover half the cost of the three-story, 95,000 square foot addition to the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Part of the package would fund an ambitious planned expansion of the university’s simulation-education center.

The funding would also enable UND officials to construct new facilities to renovate or replace the university’s aging Columbia Hall and nursing buildings.
