(FARGO, ND) – A Belcourt man will serve 30 years in federal prison after being sentenced on federal charges of abusive sexual contact of a minor child.
Cole Jeanotte, 41, was sentenced in federal district court on charges that, in 2020, he sexually abused a child. She reported that that Jeanotte began sexually abusing her in 2012 continuing until 2013 when she was approximately seven years of age. Following the incidents, Jeanotte threatened to hurt the child’s mother if she told her mother about him sexually abusing her.
Jeanotte is also being required to serve 10 years of supervised release after his incarceration.
