Fargo Police Chief: goal is to add 18 sworn officers over the next three years

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski was asked what his department's current needs are in terms of staffing.

"If you look at that, one of our strategic goals on staffing is to add six additional sworn positions for the next three budget cycles, a total of 18 bodies that would bring us up to 210 sworn," said Zibolski.

Zibolski says those projections are "tied in with the data and analysis" that was included in the department's recent facilities management plan review.

The chief said staffing increases are needed to keep up with the growth of the city.
