Updated: Fargo man dies after traveling northbound on southbound I-94 near Grandin

(Update: 6:00 p.m.) — The North Dakota State Patrol has identified the Fargo man killed in a wrong-way crash on I-29 just north of Grandin early Sunday.  

Authorities say Siemubonue Torh (39, Fargo) was traveling the wrong way on the interstate when he collided with a semi just before 1 a.m.  Two men, from Regina, Saskatchewan, who were in the semi, were not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.  

(Grandin, ND) — A Fargo man is dead after a head-on collision one mile north of Grandin on Sunday.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 12:49 a.m. on southbound I-29 at around mile marker 93. Authorities say the Fargo man was traveling northbound on the southbound road when he struck a long haul truck head on. 

The Fargo man died at the scene. The driver (28, Regina, Saskatchewan) and a co-driver (22, Regina, Saskatchewan) were uninjured in the crash. 

The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
