(FARGO, ND) — The Fargo City Commission voted 5-0 to authorize the Fargo Dome Authority to work with City staff to develop a proposal that would have the FARGODOME as the site of the convention center project.
The Fargo Dome Authority intends to submit a proposal in accordance with The City’s request for proposal process, Fargo Dome Authority President David Suppes tells Flag Family Media. Suppes says Monday night’s approach to the Fargo City Commission was simply a formality.
The Convention Center Project Committee has been meeting weekly to create a request for proposal that will be distributed to parties interested in entering a partnership with The City of Fargo to build a convention center and other amenities. The Committee’s goal is to submit the request for proposal to the City Commission for approval by the end of April.
After the RFP submission period ends, the Committee will review the proposals and present a recommendation to the City Commission.
