Twins lose Topa in Spring Training loss to O’s

(Fort Myers, FL) — Justin Topa suffered another injury during Minnesota’s 5-2 Spring Training loss to the Baltimore Orioles at Lee Health Sports Complex yesterday. Topa threw seven pitches before exiting the game with right shoulder tightness in the sixth inning.

Meanwhile, Pablo Lopez was charged with his second loss of the Spring after surrendering two runs on three hits in 3 2/3 innings, while Ty France and Royce Lewis each drove in a run. The Twins are 3-5 in exhibition play.

Joe Ryan makes his Spring debut against the Yankees on Thursday.
