(FARGO, ND) — The City of Fargo’s camping resolution end date has been extended.
Assistant City Administrator Brenda Derrig told commissioners Monday night that the extension aligns the ending of the camping resolution with the winter warming shelter program’s end. City Commissioner Michelle Turnberg said the timing concerns her because of nice weather and the fact that the river will soon break up, moving any trash along in the Red River channel. Fargo Cass Public Health Director Jenn Faul says cleanup will happen as soon as the ground firms up.
The new date is April 30.
Commissioners voted 3-2 to extend the date, with Commissioners Turnberg and Dave Piepkorn voting to keep the original deadline of March 31.
