UPDATE: Arrest made after high risk search warrant served in Fargo

UPDATE – Eighteen-year-old Jovan Holeman of Fargo faces felon in possession of a firearm charges.

A second person who was detained was released.

 

FARGO, N.D. – Two suspects are detained after a high-risk, knock-and-announce search warrant was done by Red River Valley SWAT and Fargo Police at an apartment.

The search warrant was served on the 1700 block of 40th Street South around 2:15 Friday afternoon.

Authorities say because of the suspects’ criminal history, the SWAT Team was asked to serve the warrant. Police say officers used a flash sound diversionary device to create a loud bang and a flash of light. The suspects complied with commands and were taken into custody.

Police haven’t said what the search warrant was in regards to

“Due to the active investigation, additional details about the warrant are not releasable at this time,” Criminal Investigations Captain Bill Ahlfeldt said in a statement.
