(WASHINGTON, DC) – North Dakota Superintendent of Public Instruction Kirsten Baesler has been nominated for a post within the U.S. Department of Education.
The North Dakota education leader has been nominated by President Donald J. Trump to be the Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education at the Department of Education. The position works with the Secretary of Education on elementary and secondary education related issues.
The nomination has been referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, led by Republican Chairman Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana.
