(DILWORTH, MINN) – The community of Dilworth is rallying around an 11-year-old as she battles medical issues.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Olivia Lenhart, a fifth grader at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Schools, was taken to the emergency room in early January where she was diagnosed with influenza. She then developed pneumonia. A week later she was discharged from the hospital, but returned January 21 after her condition had deteriorated.
Lenhart developed Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and bacterial pneumonia.
For the past three weeks, she has been intubated and is on a ventilator.
The GoFundMe has raised more than $17,000 of its $18,000 goal. Click here to access the fundraising site.
