Fargo man sentenced for luring minor

FARGO, N.D. – A Fargo man will spend the next 90 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to luring minors by computer.

Twenty-four-year-old Julius Trevino was arrested last summer after what police described as a “bored” teenager decided to “catch a pedophile” by posting to a dating app for the LGBTQ+ community. In July, Trevino responded to the fake ad and was arrested when he showed up to meet his supposed date at Dairy Queen.

Court officials say it was clear Trevino knew his date was only 16.

After completing his prison sentence, Trevino will serve five years of supervised probation.
