Former Fargo Public Schools behavioral management specialist found not guilty on all charges

(FARGO, ND) – A jury has found a former Fargo Public Schools employee not guilty on two counts – one for felony promoting a sexual performance by a minor and misdemeanor contributing to the deprivation or delinquency of a minor.

Jurors delivered the verdict in Ashley Peterson’s trial after less than two hours of deliberation at the Cass County District Court in Fargo. The verdict came just after 3 p.m., with jurors getting the case at around 1 p.m.

The trial began Tuesday morning.

In charging documents, investigators said the 33-year-old Peterson exchanged explicit photos with a boy from October 2021 to October of last year.
