(Eagan, MN) — JJ McCarthy should be ready for the 2025 season.
Kevin O’Connell told reporters on Thursday that the Vikings first-round quarterback is back on the field doing football activities. McCarthy was the tenth-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, but he tore the meniscus in his right knee during Minnesota’s first preseason game in August. He had season-ending surgery soon after, allowing Sam Darnold to start for all of the 2024 season.
In other team news, the Purple resigned defensive tackle Jalen Redmond Thursday.
