MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota seeks $235 million from the Legislature for its upcoming budget.
Officials say if they don’t get the money, they will need to increase tuition.
The Board of Regents says $120 million would be used to invest in 26,000 employees statewide. Another $30 million would be targeted to make sure more than 70,000 students are fully supported.
Forty five million dollars will go toward helping health science programs to train nurses, doctors, and technicians.
