(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are adding some depth behind home plate.
Minnesota traded for Dodgers catcher Diego Cartaya yesterday. The Twins sent pitching prospect Jose Vasquez to L.A. to complete the deal. Cartaya is a former top-20 prospect league-wide. He hit just .221 with 11 home runs and 52 RBI in 95 games between Double-A and Triple-A last season.
In other club news, Minnesota agreed to deals with all of their arbitration-eligible players yesterday.
