Ten Commandments bill introduced in N.D. House

(BISMARCK, ND) – A bill seeking to have the Ten Commandments displayed in both higher education and K-12 buildings has been introduced in the North Dakota Legislature.

House Bill 1145 was introduced to the N.D. House.

If passed, it would require the display of the Ten Commandments ‘in each classroom on the campus of each state educational institution under its control and administration,’ along with ‘each classroom and building on school grounds in the school district.’

The Ten Commandments would need to be printed on 11-by-14 inch paper with the commandments being the central focus of the poster or framed document and the font be printed in a ‘large, easily readable font.’

The bill will be before the House Judiciary Committee on January 14 at 10 a.m.
