MINNESOTA – The state of Minnesota’s contract with more than 35,000 home care workers is set to expire on Friday.
Service Employees International Union, which represents the workers, has been in negotiations for months with the Minnesota Department of Health. Some of the issues they want addressed in a new contract include health care costs, the workforce shortage and pay.
Workers held a rally at the capitol on Wednesday.
