Shakopee Inmate Accused of Collecting $60K In Public Benefits

SHAKOPEE, Minn. – An inmate at a women’s prison is accused of collecting tens of thousands in public benefits while behind bars.

Pamela Williams faces four felony counts of fraud. Prosecutors say she worked with two accomplices to collect over $60,000 while incarcerated.

Authorities recorded prison phone calls and went through mail, visitor logs, and money transfer records for evidence.
