(HORACE, ND) — An assault leading to an injury is under investigation in Horace.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says that at approximately 7:30 Wednesday evening, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, along with emergency medical personnel, responded to a report of an active physical assault occurring in the Sheyenne Trailer Court in Horace. Information provided to responding deputies indicated that a group of people were assaulting an individual in the area.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered that the alleged responsible parties had already fled the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance, and their current medical condition is unknown.
At this time, law enforcement believes this to be an isolated occurrence, and law enforcement believes the individuals are familiar with one another. Cass County authorities continue to investigate the incident, and no additional information is being released at this time.
