MINNESOTA – A Red Lake Tribal police officer is being honored after he died while on duty.
Officer Jesse Branch and Red Lake tribal member Alan Lussier, Jr. died in a crash.
Governor Tim Walz ordered flags on all state buildings to be lowered to half-staff to honor Branch. A procession in his honor was also held in Beltrami County.
Branch previously served as a member of the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office and just joined the North County First Responders.
