Burgum would be “completely shocked” if Harris wins Iowa

BISMARCK, ND — North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum says he would be “completely shocked” if Vice President Harris wins Iowa over former President Trump.

Burgum, who suspended his own presidential campaign last December, talked about the presidential election on NBC’s Meet the Press. Burgum said Trump’s strength is “across the entire state,” noting he was in Iowa when the former president won 98 of 99 counties in the Iowa Caucus “when there were a lot of choices for other Republican candidates.”

The governor’s comments are in response to a new poll released over the weekend that gives Harris a 47-to-44-percent lead over Trump.
