Red River Regional Dispatch Center features 31 public safety telecommunicators, handles hundreds of thousands of calls annually

(FARGO, ND) — The Red River Regional Dispatch Center is one of a few dispatch centers in the state that dispatch calls on both the North Dakota and Minnesota sides of the Red River. Director Amanda Glasoe says 31 public safety telecommunicators are part of the Red River Regional Dispatch Center, and all come from different walks of life — with one purpose.

“I think having that curiosity, that inquisitivity, and that want and urge to help the community and be a part of saving lives…it’s a really rewarding career,” RRRDC Director Amanda Glasoe told WDAY Radio’s The Coffee Club with Ronnie and Janae on Wednesday morning.

She says the dispatch center took more than 220,000 administrative and 118,000 9-1-1 calls in 2023.

The Dispatch Center, Glasoe says, is looking to fill positions. If you’re interested, click here.
