Cramer: Project Tundra receives federal funds

(BISMARCK) – Project Tundra is receiving federal support for its construction. Senator Kevin Cramer announced Monday that the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management awarded nearly $49 million to DCC East Project LLC in Grand Forks. The money will be used to construct a large-scale geologic carbon storage facility in support of Project Tundra, and will add full-time equivalent jobs to the Milton R. Young Station and adjacent coal mine. Cramer said the award ‘recognizes that leadership in responsible energy development.’
