North Dakota Department of Emergency Services reports all wildfires are contained

(BISMARCK, ND) – The North Dakota Department of Emergency Services says all wildfires in western North Dakota are now contained. The final two fires – referred to as the Bear Den and Elkhorn fires – burned more than 24,000 acres collectively. The containment of the two fires comes 16 days after the first fires began burning in McKenzie County.
