MSUM’s Strand named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week

On Monday, Minnesota State University Moorhead Jr. quarterback, Jack Strand, was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference’s Offense Player of the Week, the league office announced.

Strand threw for an NSIC-best 357 yards on 35 completions in MSUM’s 14-point comeback win 34-31 over Concordia-St. Paul. Additionally, he threw five touchdowns in a single game for the fourth time in his collegiate career. This is the second time he has been named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week this season.

Strand and the rest of the Dragons will host Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday, October 26 with kickoff set for noon. Game coverage will be available on The Flag (AM 1100 / FM 92.3) with “Big Game” James McCarty and Jace Denman beginning with the pregame at 11 a.m.
