Fargodome staff holding informational meetings to discuss expansion plans if vote passes

FARGO, ND — Members of the Fargodome authority met with constituents today to discuss the proposed changes to the structure.

The measure being presented to Fargo voters would add multiple expansions and amenities to the structure if passed. If 60% of voters approve a quarter-cent sales tax to run 20-years, the following would be implemented beginning in Q3 of 2025.

  • Updating seating (including adding cupholders)
  • More concessions and additional variety of options
  • Additional restrooms, with a majority dedicated to women.
  • More parking.
  • Receiving area to expand walking space within Fargodome.
  • Updated ADA compliance

This is the second time the Fargodome have come to voters with an expansion plan. The first attempt failed to reach the 60% threshold, but did achieve 52% support in the December 2023 special election. The current plan does not include a then-proposed convention center, which is currently a separate ballot question for Fargo voters in the General election.
