WASHINTON, D.C. — Republicans are going after Kamala Harris for saying she’d do nothing differently from President Biden.
While appearing on ABC’s “The View” this week, the VP said she couldn’t think of anything she would have done differently from Biden over the past four years. The Trump-Vance campaign immediately pounced on the response, with JD Vance posting “Kamala Harris is more of the same,” adding “She admits it herself.” The Harris campaign earlier said the candidate would highlight some differences she had with Biden.
Harris has called herself the “change candidate” throughout the campaign, a message which seems to be sticking with average voters according to a New York Times / Sienna Poll. It claims 46% of respondents believed Harris embodies change more than Trump’s 44%. The difference between the candidates is within the poll’s margin of error.
