McKenzie County ups support for Williston Basin International Airport

(WILLISTON) – The Williston Basin International Airport is seeing an increase in passenger travel. Anthony Dudas, Airport Director, told the McKenzie County Commission in their regular meeting this week that the airport has seen a 28 percent growth year-over-year, with Delta seeing a 33 percent increase in passengers.

Dudas appeared Tuesday to ask commissioners to increase their 2024 support from $300,000 to $407,000, which is equal to 15 percent of the estimated total cost agreement; and to support a new agreement, which Dudas said would equal similar numbers to the current agreement of roughly $400,000.

Commissioners unanimously approved the request.
