Wolves make Towns trade official

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks finalized their blockbuster deal yesterday.

The two teams agreed to a trade on Friday that will send forward Karl-Anthony Towns to New York in exchange for forward Julius Randle, guard Donte DiVincenzo, forward Keita Bates-Diop, and a protected first round pick. Towns spent the last nine seasons with Minnesota and made the All-Star game four times.

The Wolves will visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday for their first preseason game.
