UPDATE: Crews begin to leave scene of fire in Hawley

10:00 a.m. UPDATE: Fire heavily damaged a concrete business in Hawley last night.

The fire at Taracon precast, broke out just before 5:30. Nearly two dozen fire departments responded to the blaze. Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting tells us crews were on the scene for four hours. There were no injuries. The fire is under investigation.

Taracon Precast is part of the Spring Prairie Hutterite Colony.

9:36 p.m. UPDATE: Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says units are beginning to clear the scene of a fire in Hawley earlier this evening. He said a few crews will remain on scene for some time.

Fire departments from across the area responded to the blaze at around 5:20 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY: HAWLEY, MN — Several agencies are responding to a building fire in Hawley.

The Red River Regional Dispatch Center confirmed the fire occurring in the 6100 block of 170th Street North, which is Taracon precast in Hawley. Authorities say the fire began at approximately 5:20 p.m.

Crews from Dilworth, Moorhead, Barnesville, and several other municipalities are moving to respond to the blaze, according to dispatch logs.
