(WASHINGTON) – Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer have released statements following the Iranian missile attack on Israel.
“As we consider an appropriate response to the attacks on Israel, we must remember the complete destruction of Israel and the United States is the goal of Iran’s leaders and proxies,” said Cramer. “As our strongest ally in the Middle East and perhaps in the world, there can never be any doubt by them or Iran, the United States will stand with and fight with our historic friend if necessary. The only ceasefire the United States should be calling for is a complete defeat of Iran and its proxies.”
Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee, said, “We stand with Israel as they defend themselves against this attack by Iran. Iran is a threat not only to the security of the region, but the security of the United States, and must be held accountable. The United States must make it clear that Iran will pay a heavy price for attacking Israel directly and for their support of proxy groups like Hezbollah, Hamas and other terrorist organizations. As our greatest ally in the region, we stand with Israel.”
