Twins fall to Marlins in 13 innings

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are nearing elimination following an 8-6, 13-inning loss to the Miami Marlins at Target Field.

The Twins gave up three runs in the top of the 13th during the loss. Brooks Lee drove in two runs for the Twins while Carlos Correa, Byron Buxton, and Willi Castroall drove in a run apiece. Scott Blewett was charged with his first loss out of the bullpen.

The Twins are three games back of Kansas City and Detroit for the final AL Wild Card spot at 82-77 with three game remaining in the regular season. Pablo Lopez starts for Minnesota against the Orioles at Target Field on Friday night.
