BISMARCK, ND — The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality is allocating $2.8 million to combat pollution.

The funding is being awarded to eight projects aimed at reducing nonpoint pollution, which refers to dirty runoff polluting water.

Among the projects receiving the funding is the Epping Springbrook Watershed, which reduces harmful algae blooms and improves recreational opportunities at the Epping Springbrook Reservoir in Williams County.
