Fargo Human Rights Commission discusses The Arbors

(FARGO) – Members of Fargo’s Human Rights Commission spoke regarding the recent problems faced at The Arbors at McCormick Park. Those issues were exacerbated when 24-year-old Zion Brooks was fatally shot in June.

“I just don’t want to lose track of this issue,” Human Rights Commissioner Carolyn Becraft said during the Commission’s meeting Thursday afternoon in Fargo City Commission chambers. “It has been a problem spot.”

She pointed to a recent news story that stated residents at The Arbors were ‘afraid to cooperate for fear of eviction.’

Becraft said The Arbors has new management, but there is not consistency, calling management at The Arbors ‘a revolving door.’
