(Fargo, ND) — More nursing homes throughout North Dakota could close in the near future because of a new federal requirement.
The rule mandates that all nursing homes in the state have a nurse on duty 24-hours a day.
The State Long Term Care Association notes that the 75 nursing homes across North Dakota are already having staffing issues.
The cost of maintaining nursing staff has already resulted in the closure of six nursing homes in the state over the past three years.
