Congressman Armstrong on attacks on D.C. police: they “should spend time in federal prison”

(Fargo, ND) — North Dakota Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Kelly Armstrong is commenting on protestors who burned an American flag and attacked police officers in Washington D.C. this week while demonstrating against U.S. support for Israel.

“They were literally dragging law enforcement officers away from the flag pole. Every single person who remotely did any of those things should spend time in a federal prison,” said Armstrong.

The congressman said he does not support the idea of prison time for a person who burns an American Flag, citing the First Amendment.

Armstrong made the comments while appearing on The Flag.
