Vikings lose Blackmon for the season in first Training Camp practice

The Minnesota Vikings lost a Cornerback in the franchises first Training Camp practice on Wednesday.

Second year Cornerback Mekhi Blackmon tore his ACL during 7-on-7 drills. Per ESPN’s Kevin Seifert Blackmon limped off the field before lying on the ground for an estimated five minutes, then slowly walking to the locker room for further evaluation.

Last season as a rookie, he played in 15 games for the Vikings, starting in three of those appearances.vDuring the 2023 campaign he recorded 34 tackles, eight passes defended, and one interception.

The Vikings will continue camp on Thursday.
