FARGO, ND — Business leaders, entrepreneurs, lawmakers, and several other prominent peoples gathered inside Brewhalla’s meeting space to create connections.
The first annual Governor’s Cup started Monday and ended Tuesday night inside Brewhalla, with the goal of raising funds with the goal of supporting funding for the ND Career Builder’s loan repayment program. Along the way, business leaders had a chance to meet state politicians like North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, and several other high-profile state business executives.
“We are excited to announce that we raised $125,000 (for ND Career Builders), that’s matched by the state, for a total of $250,000,” said Dr. Mike Lebeau, the Chief of Health Services Operations at Sanford Health, and a Co-Chair of the Governor’s Cup event.
“It’s all going to North Dakotans looking to further their occupations in North Dakota,” said Dave Goodin, the former President and CEO of MDU Resources Group. Goodin is also a Co-Chair of the Governor’s Cup event.
“The event aims to accomplish this mission by providing a premier event that attracts a diverse range of business professionals and leaders from across the country and showcases our state’s friendly business climate, quality of life, and vision for the future.” – Governor’s Cup Website excerpt.
